This guide will help you get started with the Export Gemini to Markdown extension, including both single and batch export features.
🚀 Single Export (Export One Conversation)
- Open Gemini
- Go to the Gemini (Google AI) chat page and open the conversation you want to export.
- Click the Extension Icon
- Find the "Export Gemini to Markdown" icon in your browser's extension bar and click it.
- Export the Conversation
- A popup will appear. Click the "Export" button.
- The current chat will be instantly downloaded as a Markdown (.md) file, preserving formatting and code blocks.
- Check Your Download
- The file will be saved to your default downloads folder. You can now open, edit, or share it as needed.
📦 Batch Export (Export Multiple Conversations)
- Open Gemini Conversation List
- Navigate to the Gemini chat list or history page where multiple conversations are displayed.
- Activate Batch Export
- Click the extension icon.
- In the popup, switch to the "Batch Export" tab (if available).
- Select Conversations
- Select the conversations you want to export. You may see checkboxes or a list to choose from.
- Start Batch Export
- Click the "Export Selected" button.
- The extension will process and download each selected conversation as individual Markdown files.
- Check Your Downloads
- All exported files will be saved to your downloads folder.

- Formatting: The exporter preserves text formatting, code blocks, and most images.
- Privacy: All processing is done locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
