ChatGPT to Notion Extension Guide

Quick Start

1. After installing the extension, we recommend pinning the extension icon to your browser toolbar for easy access. Click the puzzle piece icon in your browser toolbar, find the ChatGPT to Notion extension, and click the pin icon.

Initial Setup

Before you can start saving your ChatGPT conversations to Notion, you'll need to complete a one-time authorization process. After authorization, you can save conversations with just a single click.

1. Notion Authorization

1. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar and select "Connect to Notion"

   Tips: if you want to save to different database, you can connet to notion more time, and then can select them.

   

2. In the Notion authorization window:

   • Select your workspace
   • Click "Next"

3. Choose your save location:

   

   • Choose database

     • clone a database from template (Option 1)

     💡 Pro Tip: If you can't select the first option, try clicking 'Back' and then 'Next' again. or clone a database from this template, and then choose option2.

     • or select existing databases (Option 2)
       • they must be create or clone from template , include the fields.

   • Click "Allow Access"

4. If selecting an existing page:

   • You can choose one or multiple pages
   • Select all desired pages

5. After authorization:

   • You'll be redirected to Notion
   • Close the page and return to ChatGPT, and refresh the page.

Saving Conversations

Now that you're set up, saving conversations is simple:

1. While on ChatGPT:

   • Click the "Save to Notion" button in the bottom right corner
   • or click the icon pin on the browser toolbar

2. In the save dialog:

   • Select your target Notion datebase
   • Click "Save" button

3. After successful save:

   • Click the provided link to view your conversation in Notion
